- Description
The well log data set is for detecting changes in the rocks stratification, described in Adams and MacKay (2007). It consists of 4050 nuclear magnetic resonance measurement taken from drill while drilling a well. The method is commonly used to detect changes in the top of rock currently being drilled. Changes in the mean are from changes in the rocks stratification; changes in the noise variance are also observed.
